  2. Public to benefit from Ombudsmen agreement on complaints about North-South Bodies

    Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman Marie Anderson and Irish Ombudsman Peter Tyndall have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide for ongoing co-operation on complaints about North-South Implementation Bodies. The MoU will ensure that users of the services of these bodies, both north and south of the border, will be able to have complaints investigated efficiently by the appropriate independent Ombudsman.

  3. Ombudsman welcomes further HSE support for end-of-life care in hospitals

    An Ombudsman report into end-of-life care, ‘A Good Death’, described some of the issues raised in complaints the Ombudsman received, and the impact on dying patients and their loved ones.  A ‘Progress Report’ published in 2018 highlights improvements in the provision of care as well as some areas that need further attention.
