Ombudsman, Peter Tyndall reminded the public that his office can examine complaints about the HSE and all HSE-run centres, including nursing homes. This follows the shocking scenes in the RTE report on Áras Attracta in County Mayo.
The Ombudsman, Peter Tyndall, has today published his report ‘Passports for Irish-born children of non –EEA parents’ following his investigation into the difficulties faced by non-EEA workers in obtaining passports for their children born in Ireland.
Ombudsman Peter Tyndall has today, 28 May 2014, launched his first annual report since taking up the role as Ireland’s Ombudsman in December 2013.
The Ombudsman Peter Tyndall has today welcomed the Health Service Executive’s (HSE) decision to make a payment of €8,500 to an elderly woman’s family following its initial refusal of her application for a Home Care Grant (HCG).
Having noted an article which appeared in the Irish Examiner on 10 February 2014, the Ombudsman, Mr Peter Tyndall, has decided to issue this statement.
